I started my interest in photography at the age of 13 and have not let up. I have always done my own processing and printing, mostly black and white, which is where I learned about light and its many moods and textures. I attended Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara California to enhance my ability with all forms of photography. I have worked under commercial photographers and custom printing houses. I have won awards and recognition from peers in the photographic community. I now think of myself as an artist whose pallet is light and my brushes are cameras and lenses. With these I try to make images that direct your mind,your eyes, and influence your emotional responses as well.
I have recently moved totally to the digital realm of photography.
With all the above said, I still get the thrill of capturing the moment at 1/8000 of a second to 30 seconds of time as I did at the age of 13.
