I understand that completely, but instead one should be able to subscribe by providing their referral ID instead of DT username.

I don't have the referal link option on any of my images, what am i doing wrong? |

Hi, you just have to go to "my profile" and check your images, or "more". Then you just have to click in one of them and you'll see on the bottom left side a box called "referral link". That's the one you have to copy and paste.

Well that doesn't matter so much, just curiosity ...
Is it too curious (or impolite) to ask if you already have "referral"?
The other thing is I didn't get how the photographer is rating...
But anyway I've putted the link on my blog
Another cool thing is that the DT portefolio appears in another window so it is possible to have look in one and then get back to another, that makes surf more confortable ...
How many photographers are you expected?

Well... i got 1 referral through the site... but he's not active (only registered), so nothing interested there :(
I think all the visitors are clicking directly on the 'dreamstime portfolio' button, which will do nothing for me. But well... it's ok. I'm glad (almost) everyone is positive about the website and enjoys it. Also got some mails from people that saw some increase in their sales after they signed up. So good to know it's working and it generates more sales.
Hopefully someday it will pay back for me too :) If not, then that's ok.
Everyone who visits the website (so also you :) can rate portfolios.
Just move your mouse over the 'rating' stars in someones portfolio. Click on it will log your vote.
At the moment there are somewhere like 125 Dreamstime users that have signed up. So i think that that is nice already. Of course,... the more the marrier.
Great you've linked it in your blog! The more people who link it the better.

What a wonderful idea for the site. I just read through the thread and checked out promotographer...loved it and signed up! I was looking at other photographers portfolios, but am unsure how you go about "rating" them. |

I just joined up, and I have one slight problem. Please tell me if anyone else is experiencing this.
After I linked my images from DT. I went back to Promotographer and clicked on Photographers and then mine to see how they linked. When I clicked on one of my images, it took me to DT alright, but it also took me to my profile page showing me logged in and all my credits/earnings, etc.
I closed out of both sites and then signed back on to Promotographer (not signed in to DT). When I clicked on one of my images this time, I only got the home page for DT with my image showing. HOWEVER, when I logged back on to DT and tried it again, it brought up my "logged in" status with all my information on earnings. HOW EMBARRASSING!
This appears to mean to me that anytime I am logged in to DT and someone clicks on one of my images on Promotographer, they will get my logged in page, too. PLEASE tell me no one else is seeing this. Please reply as soon as possible so I can close out Promotographer until it gets straightened out. Thanks. |

I just went in and deleted all my images I had linked. I stayed logged in to DT and went back to Promotographer. It said I had no images yet, but showed a link to my portfolio. When I clicked on that, it took me directly to my open profile page with stats.
I am closing my account with Promotographer until I can be assured that no one is getting into my DT account information.
This is a great idea! I just hope it's just a snaffu on my end. I look forward to your response. |

I'm really going to feel STUPID (again :D) ... Is it possible that the only reason I am seeing my credits/earnings when I am logged into DT and click on one of my images from Promotographer is that the image link is taking me directly to my portfolio which I am already logged into and THAT'S why I see that info? If yes, well DUH!!! And if yes, I'm going to immediately go back and open my account again.
I keep this up and my name is going to become recognized for "well-duh" statements. I'm REALLY not that dense, just a little slow sometimes when I'm on the computer all day long. Thanks for your patience and indulgence ... all of you. |
