Thanks for your response.
I'm sorry to be so dense, but I'm still not understanding. I see that knowing as much as possible about the event is important, and I see that VIP shots are great, but I'm still not sure if shots of everyday athletes in competition are acceptable.
If you can, take a look at these shots:

They are by no means masterpieces, and I haven't cropped, sharpened, etc., but they give you a sense of subject.
Are these acceptable per the new policy?

Sounds good! I've just uploaded a dozen or so images of different types: celebrities (Washington, DC Mayor Fenty is a competitor), spectators and the athletes themselves. I might be torpedoing my acceptance rate, but it seems worth some risk to sort out this terrific new feature. |

Amazing images there, Jeff. You're giving me a good sense of the use of athletes within this new editorial license. I've got some triathlon shots in the queue--here's hoping they get approved, and find designers.

i was wondering if i upload an image as editorial and after it is accepted, is it allowed to upload same image as non-editorial image ("regular image")?
and let's say i have uploaded an editorial image that were accepted. after a while, i'm going to disable it. then, can i upload the same image as non-editorial image?
and where can i see the prices of editorial images (earning that i receive, if somebody downloads my image)?
