My father mentored me in many ways in life; he introduced me to photography and taught me the gold leafing techniques I use in my art. Because of that, photography has always been a creative outlet for me. However, part of me found printing photographs on paper too restrictive. Not being a painter or sculptor I began experimenting with ways to incorporate my photographs into a more 3 dimensional art form. The gold leaf and slate are examples of the medium I use to add depth and texture to the photographs I create. |
