First I am not certain this should be brought up in a 'Photoshop' forum. Due to the generally accepted idea any editing of a digital image is 'photo shopping', I assume it is the correct place to ask. If not please redirect me.
Anyway, it seems the Nikon capture Nx program is a pretty simple program. I enjoy using it to highlight, brighten and crop images. My question is this: Can this program be used to layer/stack images?
I read on a different sight that Photoshop could be used to stack about 10 images (different shots of same subject) on top of each other. By reducing the opacity of each stacked image by a certain percentage, noise and artifacts could be reduced in the final image and a beautiful crystal clear image created. My camera will do in camera image overlay. Doing this though does not change the opacity of the image, nor does it reduce noise. Anyway ultimately what I am looking to get is a high quality low noise images for large printing (13x19), mostly from lowlight images. I have tried various ISO settings and feel it can only be corrected in editing. Any help will be appreciated. I thank you in advance.
